Roger has been actively engaged in facilitating organization growth and development since childhood.

His love affair with volunteering grew from participating in music groups and on sports teams, and his passion to create the special  joy he often experienced there.

As Managing Partner of Bizworks Studio, Roger

· Develops websites and publishes e-newsletters;

· Provides consulting services to businesses and non-profits;

· Demonstrates the power of meaningful conversation to drive personal and organizational change;

· Provides support services for writers;

· Coaches brides and grooms to use wedding planning as a base for creating a joyful marriage and serves with his wife as wedding celebrants; and

· Wrote and published three books: “Choosing Joy at Work,” “Peaceful Awakening,” and “Learning Lessons: Gardening With Nature.”

In various experiences with for-profit organizations, Roger

· Created and managed a world-class HR team responsible for all elements of HR, including continuous improvement and organizational development;

· Developed a corporate university and marketed innovative training programs to the industry;

· Documented core business processes and facilitated process improvement teams;

· Designed and implemented a customer survey and helped develop a corporate report card to track key indicators tied to growth strategies;

· Developed a landscape design/build and consulting firm;

· Coached the successful turnaround of a retail/wholesale nursery and a pool service division; and

· Developed cross-departmental teams to foster cooperation and improve key processes.

· Negotiated vendor partnerships to reduce inventory and improve order fulfillment, cutting replenishment in one area from 20-40 days to 24 hours.

· Reduced receivables from $1.1M to $167,000.

· Managed expansion and stabilization of computer network, including conversion from multiple databases and platforms to single software package.

· Led staff expansion from 550 to 750 employees while cutting employee turnover in half.

· Implemented behavioral profiling, skills testing, and employee talent pool database.

· Developed and supported decentralized HR services provided by production staff.

· Supported sale of high-end projects through marketing HR competencies as a competitive advantage.
